The Department meeting will address, among other issues, two issues relating to teaching appointments: the Art and the Man and the History of Language. The commission charged with evaluating nominations for the post of Professor of the latter subject just may meet to prepare the final proposal on Monday 20. In both cases, the Department must submit a proposal to the Board of the Faculty (and is now called the Academic Council), which will be held on Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23.
